5th Gen wheels compared to 6th Gen

Does anyone know if 5th Gen wheels will fit on a 6th Gen? What is the difference?

Honda shop said part numbers were different but did not know if 2001 wheel would work on 2004 model. Did a search but did not see anything.

The 5th gen wheels (front and rear) are exactly the same as the 6th gen. Both interchange. Front rotors are the same as well.

What about a 4th Gen on a 5th Gen? Specifically, 1996 on a 1998? Reading the sizes, it seem the 5th Gen is Wider but the same diameter?

 

All VFR rear wheels from '90-present are 17". The 4th gen. wheel weighs 12 lbs, which is actually lighter than some aftermarket wheels...
