Hello, I have finally bought a 1998 VFR that was a one owner 14000 miles and always garaged. It is near perfect with a newer chain, tires, rectifier, and it has the stock seat and a corbin one with the compartment in the back. It has a carbon fiber key protector and tank protector. He also threw in his Arai helmet. He sold it to me for $2400 for everything but of coarse it is dead winter here in Alaska. Any suggestions on an after market exhaust. I bought it thinking that I just might put that A & A supercharger on it. I had the choice between this bike an a 1996 xx1100 for the same price but 40,000 miles. I chose the truly mint VFR.

dude, you stole that bike! you should get jail time for getting one that cheap with those parts and those miles! holy crap! I ride a 1998 and even in the current condition with missing plastics and 70000 miles I wouldn't let it go that cheap... Hell, I would have been tempted to come to alaska and ride it back for a deal like that!

    oh, and :worthless:

Like Reg says, you really stole it!

I also bought my '98 from a guy in Alaska with only 2600 miles on it a couple of years ago.

I wanted a 49-state bike with low miles and in pristine condition....got it.

    Welcome aboard.
Not too many members from AK around here. There are quite a few in Western Canada, but I know that is like saying there are a few in Hawaii.

Thanks you all for the welcome.

I will have to get a few pics here this week and go over to my friends garage as he is kind enough to be storing it in his. So what exhaust should I get. One that sounds good and those high mount ones look so good. The only one I saw here was a guy that had just brought one to the Eielson Air Force base here and then 3 days later he hit a calf moose and his bike was on top of the calf and the calf was bawling. Momma moose came after him and kicked him in the back of the helmet with her front feet, which sent him over the lane divider and all the way over across the road towards the fence. She wasn't done and came charging over and as he turned his head she kicked him the the face which caught him on the chin guard and he flew over the fence he was trying to scramble over as he could her her still coming after him. His bike was destroyed and the helmet saved his life but you should have seen the helmet. By the way this is an actual true story in every detail and was the only VFR I have seen around here or used to exist.

December 18th. Cycle focus. (IL, WI, IN) 1999 Honda Interceptor. Two Bros. pipe. Seat Cowl! Extremely clean! #U3460 $2495 Banzai Motorsports 888-653-3651 Crystal Lake, IL

The only thing I can tell from the 1.5" picture is it's red! No mention of number of miles. This is one of those Mega used bike stores. You know "Over 700 used bikes in stock!" And like Alaska, Crystal Lake, IL is cold and snowy now!
