Greetings! So, I recently got a '96 VFR through a trade and wanted to brag about my deal, introduce myself and ask a question. I bought a 4x4 '02 Rancher for $600 a few months ago, put new brakes and tires on it for another $200. About 2 weeks ago I placed the quad on CL for a trade for a street bike or dirt bike. Someone offered a '96 VFR750 as a straight trade... I figured that there had to be something wrong with it... I met the guy and the VFR ran perfect, only has 10k miles and 1 small crack on the front right fairing that he did that morning when he was loading the bike up. Needless to say, still an amazing deal. All in all, I only spent $800 on the bike and it is in fantastic condition.

Now, my question... if I replace the air filter with a K&N do I need to jet the bike? Also, along the same lines would I need to jet the bike if I add a Twobros slip?

You Pirate! What a deal! I have spent more than that on tires for my truck and the VFR lasts so much longer than a set of tires! Of course :worthless: We LOVE pictures!

    YOU STOLE THAT BIKE!!!

Congrats on the great deal! Just to give you an idea, based on what you described that bike could easily fetch between $2700 and $3500 if you decided to sell it. I'd just keep it since you can easily put close to 100,000 miles on it if taken care of properly.

    Regards,
    Rollin
