Lowered my bike by rotating triangle, now find the bike sits too upright on the side stand.I have seen the various options ie.cutting and rewelding stand, shorter stand, but I wondered if anyone had tried grinding away part of the stop the stand buts up against when its extended looks like it would work as the stand would sit further forward, has anyone tried this?
No. You can buy a shortened side stand from Sigma Cycles. I have one as I used their lowering kit. It is $125.00 and of superior quality to the OEM stand. It has a larger footprint so on softer surfaces or pavement on a very hot day you are less likely to sink in.
Trouble is I am in the UK,I just bought second hand heli bars from the US,the shipping was $40 and then I had to pay $40 UK tax, makes it quite an expensive option, buying stuff from over the pond.
