    Fitted heli bars at the weekend and makes a noticable difference,bike is much more comfortable, surprising the difference that little bit of extra height makes.

    How did the install go? I'm interested in the Brake / Clutch line routing. Do you really have to take the whole stinkin' ( bloody, I guess there ) triple-clamp off as they say for my '98 Gen5?

    first i've heard of that. I dont think the triple must be removed.

    If you dont change the damping stuff, it should only take less than an hour.

    Cut & Pasted from the '98 - '01 Install Instructions;

    5. The throttle cables need to be moved behind the right fork tube and must remain on top of the right controls wire loom and the ignition switch wire loom. The simplest method to relocate these cables is to remove the top triple clamp. REMEMBER TO RE-TORQUE TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECS!
