    Greetings from scotland,
i'm a thirty year old guy from kirkcaldy, in Fife, Scotland i'm married and have a 'wee one' on the way.
i am fairly new to the VFR family, and after many years of searching and saving i finally got on board.

i am the now the insanley proud owner of a 2006 (05 model) silver VFR800, she truly is a thing of beauty (her name is Veronica)....yes i am sad i do indeed name all my bikes.

looks like a really nice site, hopefully i will meet lot's of new people here.

    thanks

Hi Lank and welcome to the group. It's great to have another member from across the world. Are you an engineer by chance? Maybe you could tweak the warp drive? lol Congrats on the future 'wee one'. :thumb:

Welcome to the group, lank. I've always wanted to visit Scotland, I think it's a beautiful country. When you get a chance, post up some pics.

Welcome, just so you don't think your alone in naming bikes, mine is Lady Barbara (also a 2005 Silver). Named after a character in a book, class but with a bit of an edge.

We ride all year round here..

Our weather is changeable so we may get snow in April or 16 Degree days (C) in November..

Best stick to May to September for best chance of good weather , but it also depends where you are visiting - the west coast is much wetter than the east.

Lank8pew, welcome to the group, you will find a more local forum http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/

REG71 althogh i ride all year round, my favorite time of year for riding is july/august thats when the weather is warmest and all the tourist attractions open, there are also more bikers out during those months.
hey Rogue, i will be sure to check out the pics,m although i'm not sure i agree with your description of the weather as appart from a fortnight of sun it seems to have rained all year (lol, only kidding it's not that bad).
