Mostly, what is the "cure" for the 5th gen rectifier issue, is there a factory fix kit? I will soon have the bodywork off for a complete detail & check over, so I'd like to know if mine has been fixed. Also, is there some kind of mirror extenders? I get a great view of my arms in mine. Won't break it down untill after the Holidays, so I can show it to my son. Thanks in advance.

You can use the link that Steven provided, or you can also use the R/R from the Blackbird. That's what I have on mine. I don't know the part number off hand and don't recall the price, but I'm sure you could find one (bike is currently under cover in the garage since it doesn't handle well in the snow).

They do make mirror extensions. Used to be a set for sale in the classifieds, but I didn't look to see if they were still available. I've seen these on another members bike, and they look pretty decent. Its a nice clean fit.

Buy your mirror extenders at Burkhart cycle. He is the one that made them for my bike and they fit great. When I bought my bike I had the same problem so I sent my mirror to Tom Burkhart and he made them to fit the 2000-2001 models without the condoms. I was selling them for a while but I am out of the ones I bought from him. His website is Burkhartcycle.com and check out the price, much cheaper. I have them on my bike in my avatar and I can actually see around my arms without flapping.

Buy the upgrade RR from Honda not the aftermarket ones and wire my bike kit for the wiring upgrade. Do it all at the same time since you will have the plastics off.
