Hi All, I just received my JR suit. The fit is good the quality is good. Over all I give it a 7 out of 10. For the price of $350 from NewEnough, makes it a good buy(IMO). Sizing is a little strange, I'm 6 foot at 240 lb and the XXL short is darn close. On a SS bike this suit would not work for me, as it would choke me. On the VFR it's dead on. The pant leg drags the floor with no boots on. The armor is real close everywhere but the knees, just a touch high(in ride position). I wear a 36/32 pants and XL t-shirts, both fit good. I just got back from a 35 minute ride @ 43* temp. No issues with body temp on that ride. Suit over jeans and t-shirt. Suit link
I was going to snap a few pics but did not think anyone would want to see me in a suit. I know I have no desire to see any guys in suits!
Don't wash it. Unless absolutely have to. You loose a lot of your water repelency. I know. Even following thier instructionsto a T is not good enough. I ruined one jacket from them and tried to no avail to get advise from JR on how to bring it back. I got poor advise in the beginning and made my jacket look like shit. They came through after months and months of haggleing and sent me a new jacket. This time when I washed it, basically I ran hte hose over it (no nossle) and aggitated the outer surface with a soft bristle paint brush to loosen the road grime. Again it lost it water repelency. I sprayed it two or three times with the best waterproof spray I could find out there, and it is still not as good as it was before the wash. And now the sprayed on stuff attracts the dirt. Can't win. So basically, let it get as dirty as you care to let it get. Otherwise I love the suit. Actually have three JR suits for different conditions.
