I have a feeling this might actually happen! How many Georgia riders will be in attendance providing the weather cooperates?

Ditto on good weather. I just have to make sure to come down with a mysterious cold in time so that I can get out of work *cough cough* :)

    other roads

i'm guessing that you mean not riding deal's gap all day! i'm absolutely with you on that one. there are many other roads (as you know) with less traffic (cops and harleys). it's gonna be fun (weather permitting). joey_dude or matt could take us into north ga, i could do an east tn/nc ride. darn, that means i'll probably have to get up there sooner to assess some new rides . the sacrifices i'm willing to make for the group.....

i have to be there (kickstand lodge) as i'm planning on being the breakfast chef  tues, wed and thurs. i'm gonna plan on leading at least one if not two rides in the tn/nc area. the rides will probably be around 150-250 miles if not more! certainly, if someone knows the roads better than me, i'm willing to follow. this could be really fun!

Sparky, seeing as how you got the inside track on kickstand lodge do you know how far ahead I'd have to make reservations for the bunkers/fontanas? I want to sleep on a form of mattress.

good question! i emailed mo (ksl owner) for details as to how far in advance one needs to secure a decent night's sleep (read mattress). the ksl has a bunkhouse that sleeps 4-5 and 2 other rooms that have 2 and 1 mattress. the bunkhouse and 2 rooms have electricity. the rest of the grounds have small cabins that are pretty much a place to 'crash'. in otherwords, a double mattress, a few hooks and a place to barely turn around. no electricity though. if you have a few folks you're coming up with, get the bunkhouse (unless one of them snore loudly :frown:). when i get a response from mo, i'll definitely post a thread and dates.

    cheers!

You betcha, I just want to set up something decent for the VFRW gang. I know there are hotels but they can get expensive and why pay all that if we're gonna be outside riding all day? And I hear you on winter... I'm only staying sane by working on mods (Gonna upgrade the suspension I can't wait to try it out!)
