of course, i've been reading about the new VFR since it was supposed to be a V5, and all the print so far seems to be positive.
of course, some say its ugly, hideous, and stupid looking, but I realise its simply the next progression of motorcycle refinement.

The huge muffler seems to be the main argument for most, but I think that its probably one solution to what is and has been a big problem with motorcycles, in that, just what do you do with the muffler?

heres me, I forgot to suck in my gut and smile.

You found yourself a great looking bike!! Love the price too!

The new VFR just does not do it for me, for reasons above and beyond that stupid exhaust!

Like the color always thought the similar Mazda titainium metalic Silver would suit the VFRs "carved from a single billet" looks and can see it does.

On the VFR1200, a sexy rear wheeled spoilt by that ugly exhaust hopefully Staintunes or Arkoprovic see an opportunity knocking.

    VFRJoe,

I rode an 08 like that a little over a year ago after not being on a bike for over 12 years. She was kinda to a returning rider like myself and kept me out of trouble. Check out my photos to see it if you like.

It's a nice bike. Thought I wanted one after I returned from my California trip so I started researching it. Then I found it was heavier and had less power than a true sport bike, so I bought a CBR 954. I liked the CBR until I took it on longer rides and memories of the VFR I rented in California kept haunting me.

I picked up a 98 VFR this summer and the CBR has mostly been sitting in the garage except for track days. I rode the CBR last weekend with a few others and by the time I got home I had monkey butt and was wishing I had taken the VFR.

So... it's funny how I came full circle.

Welcome to the forums and enjoy your new bike!

If you take those brass baffles out of the pipes, it makes a little different exhaust note. I have the same pipes

I was stunned by what I saw from the station fire.
with storms approaching, road dept were closing big tujunga as we drove around the barricades.
they are predicting damage from the debris flow during the coming rains, and the roads may stay closed till who knows when.
and on the news tonite, the map of the road we traveled today, pointing out they are all closed!

yes. I bought this bike from a guy in torrance, close to you I bet.

I'm in lake hughes, on the edge of the desert, near palmdale.
nearby roads, lake hughes road, san fran cyn, bouquet cyn, spunky cyn, soledad cyn, aliso cyn, angeles forest, angeles crest, tujunga cyn both, bear divide, and out west the whole lockwood valley mil protrero route.

leaving LA on the 5 was torture, how can someone live in that mess and enjoy motorcycles?

I was thinking about putting the stock mufflers back on,
not sure why anyone would want to make the bike noisy while riding it?
heres a link to my previous bike story...
