A life long childhood fantasy of mine has finally been realized. Finally got myself a Z50 (can't beat free) It needs some work but is only missing a carb. (great winter project) I always wanted one when I was a kid, learned to ride on a friends Z50. How many of us grew up on one of these or still have one. Post up pics. Here's mine.

Me! I loved that thing. Parents got it used and my dad spent a few months restoring it.
    Thanks for the pic.

I started riding when I was 10 on a Montgomery Ward 5.25 HP mini-bike. My friend had an XR80 and his little brother had a Z50. So that my kids start out by doing it right, I bought them a new CRF50 and the oldest is now on an also new CRF70. He'll be up to the 80 or 100 in another year. When they outgrow the bikes, I plan to keep them.

I too spent many hours in the seat of the MW 5 HP mini-bike! Rope pull start...that thing was a blast!!! That is one of the best things a parent can do for their kid if they show interest. Nothing like learning to ride on dirt!

I then was surprised with one of these! 1969 Yamaha Enduro, missing the left peg! I had to shift without, and rested my foot on the limited edge of the engine casing! I thought I had a huge bike!!!

My very first moto ride was on a little Honda 50. 6 years old, damn near killed myself when I fell off and wouldn't let go of the throttle.

I fell in love that day. It only took me 31 years to buy a bike of my own...

I was a Charlie Brown kid, I use to stare at all the mini bikes at Sears and a nother chain called White Front stores.

I would dream about a YamaHoppy aka Yamaha Chappy and never got s**t.

I had to grown up and buy my own stuff.

I would love to have a Briggs & Straton good ol fashion mini bike , plain & simple,

my first was a Honda Trail 50..yellow. Burned it up. Literally. The tube from gas tank to carb sprung a leak and engine was hot enough for it to combust. While I was riding it. Didn't get me, but the bike was charred pretty good.

I started on a 1980 Honda Z50R..Loved it and I still have it. I let my Nieces and Nephews ride it all the time. Someday I'll restore it. I got from a neighbor in a box that they was going to throw away. I learned mechanics that way.

I started on a Z50R, loved that bike. Great bike for teaching a kid how to tune a bike.

Taught me how to keep on it no matter what while riding the wheels off it when I got chased by a venomous snake big enough to eat a calf.

I used to sit on my dad's Honda 90 trail bike in the garage as a little kid and "pretend". By the time I was old enough to ride it, it was broke beyond repair and I never got the chance. In 1998 (@ 31) I bought my first street bike (95 Ducati 900 SS/SP) and haven't looked back...
