I recently bought a used 2003 VFR800a, it came with the OEM rack for the hard saddlebags. Is there any way to use these racks with soft bags. I have read that the hard cases are about $600 or more, which is way more than I want to spend. Hoping there would be a way to utilize this nice rack system with some other bags. Thanks

you could use a set of bags that go across the back of the tail section and then use the stock racks as attachment points to tie them down. Thats what I would do in your situation. hard bags minus racks should be cheaper since you've already got the racks.

You could buy this set though they are blue. He has had them for sale for a while and does not have the racks for them so you could bargain hard. PM me if you need a set of eyes on them. Not too far from me.

Even though the Honda bags are made by Givi, I don't believe they are interchangeable. Only the Honda bags will fit the OEM mounts.
