Everyone always list's the mod's to their bike, but what about the mod's to your body due to high & low side's , licking guard rails , knee capping lost muffler's, dogging rolling spare tires surfer boards and shitty baby diapers tossed out the window, shaking hand's with tourists in rental car's at 65, dodging illigal aliens running across the freeway etc...

Let's see who has paid the price for admission into the ER and the veteran survivor's road rider club.

    I will kick this off.

    All of mine were in the 70' & 80's, a couple in the very early 90's , I'm 46.

Completely snapped in two my right femur , it was sticking all the way thru my 501'/ leg from an all gear wheelie on my old RD 400 ,(( with the associated road rash of course )) ful face helmet & lace up boots, leather gloves.

Broken nose, deep scalp cut's , huge mouse on left cheek brand new 87 CBR 1000 , top gear above freeway speed on on the freeway interchange into an increasing radius 180 R/H'er, decided to find an "out" went "off road" on my now CBR dual sport lol, into the dirt , front end slid out, and went over the bar's face first. Judges scored it a 8.0 for the form and landing , lol. got up and drove off and made my appointment, left my nose the way it was because it was broke many times before in fights so who cares, considerably it was shot off !!! in a gun battle in 91, poor nose, lol.

Dislocated pinky finger , sprained ankle, moderate ass rash, sore ass for a week, 80's Suzuki GS 550 full touring set up, forgot the twisty canyon was a 5 turn and not a 4turn, Homeer Simpson "DOH", caught a view of a mini wini coming my ou to my peripheral as I drifted acroos the D Yellow and scraped peg's, snap decided to go off roading "again" lol.

Honda CL 350 twin cafe racer, a car cut me off at a drive way in a large commercial street , I snap decision went into a large dirt industrial front yard, laid it down , my Van's slip on shot off my right foot, sprained ankle , no problem after I sat there and writhed in agony & pain for 10 min, got up and went to work, lol.

Road ass rash left side, Yamaha XT 600 down hill into left turn signal on at large intersection, base ball slide across the street and into the gas station larking lot for a "Safe" as the umpire called it. 501's shredded on left side, got up cussing and kicked it over and went to work, "captain's log star date 1989 good to be alive"

Judges scored this one 8.5 for the full 180 front flip to ass grab & ground between two huge boulders, the case of Miller long neck bottles on back shattered, every one broke except 1 which I promptly cracked open and toasted to God & life , lol.

I have more but no time not to list them.

    What about You ???????????

Impressive list of injuries. Have you ever considered driving a car instead? After reading your stories....you sound kinda squidly and a danger to others.

Broke a nail. Thank God that didn't happen to the wife or I'd still be hearing about it!

Low sided my CBR954 last year at about 30 mph.

No rash except were the jacket rubbed my arm and it wasn't bad.

Slightly separated shoulder. Yeah, that hurt for a few weeks. Had a sling and some physical therapy and it's pretty good now. The shoulder still hurts sometimes if I sleep on it wrong.

    Okay, I'll play!
All were done on Motorcross bikes, so dirt is a little softer than pavement! 3 separate accidents.

    Cracked right ankle
    4 broken ribs
    Broken right 'pinkie'
    4 cracked vertebre
    Right collarbone in 3 pieces

"knock on wood" for no more. I'm too old now to heal up quickly.

Sheat. I don't know if I want to ride with most of you saving Tink, Drewl and Knife so far.

According to my wife and co-workers I went out of my mind when I started riding. Does that count. And my bank book is fractured.

So far I have been lucky. Down 5 times but everytime was from a stopped position. Only once was it close to a collision but that was Reggies fault.

I had a little accident in my pants one time when I had a close one. Not sure if that counts as an injury, though.

Crushed left foot with broken heel and toes. Lost about a quarter inch of the big toe. They were discussing amputation and so I decided to get a second opinion. I was wearing sneakers on the way to the gym back when I was a dumb kid student. Driver turned left on a green into me. Foot was between car bumper and bike engine...I assume.

Thanks. But in fairness, there's many folks who've riddin a lot longer and harder than I have. (we're talking about bikes right?)

It was tough for you when we took the training wheels off wasn't it? That whole putting your foot down at a stop thing....

I've had 2 in 14 years of riding.

Mid 90's. Decreasing radius left down hill; was able to jump off and land on my feet but sprained my ankle. CM400T Honda.

Early 2001. Got squeezed out lane splitting on the Bay Bridge. Left foot peg was snapped off by the rear wheel of a "duelie" truck. I bounced off a car and went over the handlebars at 35mph. Hit the ground and rolled but only had a sore hip and arm on my left side. That started the rebuild on my CB750f.

Knock on wood, been real lucky. Sorry for the boring post...

    Well, I've been blessed...

1984 - Panic braking low side, minor rash to elbow
1985 - Cleaning chain with engine running, amputated tip of right thumb
1985 - Corner too fast low side, rash and inbedded FOD in left hand
1991 - Corner during ice storm low side, needed a cranialanalectomy
1992 - New tire+wet road high side, minor concussion and neck muscle strain
1996 - Corner too fast (100 ft from '85 corner) low side, major rash upper right arm and shoulder

I had no bike from Dec30 1996 to Feb 05 2005. Figuring I needed to start back with something less powerful, I dropped from a 90 CBR1000F to the 05 VFR and so far,

2005 - Forgot to remove Disc brake lock 1mph drop, deep tissue bruise to ego

Drunk ran me over on my first bike 86 XL250 RWB, resulting in:

    Broken left hand and arm,
broke three ribs on left side,
broken rh femur(rod is still in it),
severlly dislocated lh hip(destroyed the socket),
permanent nerve damage in lower left leg and foot,

only thing that saved me was I fell into a gutter as he rolled over me and onto the sidewalk. Then he tried to back up, the crowd stopped him.

The kicker, a jury let him walk away free and clear.
