    Hello,

New to the VFR World, but not new to VFRs. My name is Todd and I live in New Jersey. I feel I'm way behind the times as I have only owned the 1st and 2nd generation VFRs. My first bike was an 83 VF750. I have owned the VFR 86 white and blue and an 86 VF500F also. Currently I have a 02 ZX6, which I'd love to sell to anyone - cheap and an 86 Nighthawk 700s.

Not much else to tell. I've done the Iron Butt on an 86 VFR Blue and really enjoyed that ride. I am much more into touring these days and feel the VFR's have always been really good at that type of riding. Other than that - I ride very little, less than 3K miles a year and just enjoy reading and talking about bikes. VFR fan, really excited about the new VFR1200....maybe my next bike. Hope to attend the NY Motorcycle show and maybe meet some of you.

    Todd.

    Hey Todd - Welcome.

Where are you located in NJ? I'm in Morris County. Let me know - maybe we'll hook up for a casual ride sometime once winter blows outta here - I woke up to 28 degrees and ice on the driveway, deck, car, etc. this morning. (Do they make snow tires for a VFR? :) )

    Near Giant Stadium

I live in Rutherford. My wife works in Hackensack and I work in Hackettstown, but my store "Target" is technically in Washington Township (Long Valley) in Morris County.

Target is all of about 4 miles from me. If you happen to take Rt. 46 West off of 80, I'm sure you know the Dodge dealer at the top of the hill before heading down into Hackettstown. If you made a right at that light (onto Sandshore), I'm about 2 miles down that way.

That's a heck of a commute you have from Hackensack.

I know exactly where that is. On an early morning my commute is 45-50 minutes. It's 47.5 miles. Stop by the store sometime and I'll introduce myself and buy you a coffee. Just ask anyone at Starbucks or the front end for Todd and they'll page me.

I'll take you up on that! My wife likes those vanilla fruity latte grande with cinnamon things. I like my coffee like I like my women - in the morning and with big titties. :)

Just remember the weather in our neck of the woods is often worse than what you see in Hackensack. Even with the small elevation change at the top of the hill versus the bottom can be the difference between snow and rain.

I'm Mike, by the way. I'm sure I'll be heading down there sometime soon to monitor the wife's Christmas shopping.
