Lakewood Washington Polcie Murders

Most should be aware by now that four Lakewood Washington Police Officers were gunned down in cold blood while they were preparing for shift at a local coffee shop. I can't tell you how many times I sat in the same manner over my 25 years of service to the community. I had always been well aware that I was being watched. I never felt in danger sitting while sipping on a hot joe.

First and formost, my heart simply bleeds for the families of these four slain. I get very upset even thinking about what my wife and kids would have had to endure, had this happened to me. I had a relatively safe career but the potential was always there.

Second my heartfelt condolences go out to these four officer's brothers and sisters in arms who lost a member of their close knit family. They have to mourne while they continue with their proffessional service to their charges, their community.

This is a relatively new Police Force. I watched as their Chief spoke to the press today, a little better than a day after loosing not one, but four of his kids. An incredible man whom I do hope finds strength somewhere somehow.

And last but certainly not the least, my thoughts and hopes for safety go out to all my brothers and sisters world wide still serving. Remember, the most important part of your job is you.

I heard about it just as it was released. Bile rose in my throat and I got sick to my stomach. This act outrages me, throws me into a depression, and deeply saddens me thinking about the waste of life and the devastated families and friends left behind. These four never had a chance.

Next time I see a peace officer I'm going to tell him to please be careful, we need you out there. And the next time I get a moving violation (and it will happen because I can't seem to observe the speed limit), I'll think twice about making an excuse, arguing, or showing attitude. Every time a cop stops someone, he may be facing his executioner. I don't know how you guys do it.

 

My thoughts are with the families and the community.......except for the person that pulled the trigger.. for you I have pity....the old saying pops into my mind.....you can run but you can't hide...

 

What a senseless tragedy. Sounds like the scumbag accused is still at-large, too. Hope they catch or kill the bastard ASAP.

If it is the same person the media is reporting, and I am almost 100% satisfied it is, Then what about the son of a bitch who pardoned him.

As this is a thread of respect for my fallen brothers, I had to delete what originally came after this comment.

There is likely to be a mass Memorial Service for these four great people in the very near future. I will dawn my Red Serge and go there to pay my respects. If there are any Washington LEO's out there who would like to meet after, I would be honoured. Please send me a PM.

The police killed a suspect in the shootings and from the article the guy wasn't all there. Check out this text in the article:

Clemmons was charged in Washington state earlier this year with assaulting a police officer and raping a child, and investigators in the sex case said he was motivated by visions that he was Jesus Christ and that the world was on the verge of the apocalypse.

It's a senseless tragedy that four police officers had to lose their lives over a mentally unstable person. :frown:

 

I had to wear the badge shroud too many times. I have been to too many memorials recently. Rest In Peace, may the angels serve and protect you.

 

I see the SWAT team put that scum where he belongs....

 

Wasn't SWAT. Single patrolman checking on a stolen car. I feel for him. His actions are going to be scrutinized to a level no one should have to endure given the high profile this has taken on.

He has my support to the end.

 

Saw that on the news this morning, can't help wonder "IF" this officer that got the shot off knew this was the best time to put the M^&&erF%6!er down. I know he deserves a metal or better for saving us a lot of tax dollars. that creep got was what owed to him. I remember Ruberrt for gunning down the bank tellers here and he was on death row for over 20 years and died of natural causes, what a waste of my tax money.

 

You can't cure a rabid dog; it has to be put down. You can't cure a child molester, either; they have to be put away forever. Fortunately for his next potential victim, this rabid child raping cold blooded murdering scum bag was put down and not taken into custody so the system would have yet another chance to fail us all.

He could have killed the cop who got him before he knew what was happening. Thank God this peace officer was suspicious and on it. Good riddance.
