Im not into piracy or asshats. I unlock phones so you arent stuck with 1 carrier. most countries don't lock phones in the first place, and there are several people trying to sue the companies that lock there phones.
as far as the jailbreak.... without jailbreaking the phone you have a very pretty device that is also pretty crippled. no video capture, no picture messaging, etc etc.
100% legal and thats that.
5 of citrus heights finest officers have had me unlock and jailbreak phones for them, in my store. I would find it funny of the popo's had to get involved if this guy starts shit, because the responding officers would probobly find it funny that he is saying I did something wrong by NOT helping him to break the law and I am sure at least one of them would be on a phone that I haxored.

I work for a little ma and pa type shop, nothing corporate.
He even occasionally leaves beer in the fridge cause he knows every once in a while I like one with lunch. No risk of losing my job on this one.
Biggest fear of losing job is closing store due to lack of revenue. That could be an eventuality.

I totally disagree with the locking BS. One of the main reasons I have the provider and smartphone I do is because I don't have to go though any BS to load my MP3s or run third party stuff. Apple makes some excellent products like the I-Phone and I-pod but their "Our way or no way" attitude in regards to content and use is crap I will have no part of.

My best friend is a mac genius and no less than once a day does he get someone who comes in and wants a new phone because they tried to hack it and completely ruined it. I understand your pain and be ready for him to show up. My friend just had to have his car repaired because someone keyed it for not getting an new phone.

Any chance the douche paid for anything in the store via check or credit card? If something does happen to your bike you'll have a prime suspect and know his identity.

Of course I hope nothing happens, but if it does keep a level head, as an assault conviction doesn't look good on anyone's record.
