Sorry to hear! You do realize that most crashes happen within 25 miles of home..... I suggest you move 30 miles from your driveway so you won't have to be concerned about it!:rofl:

Thanks for sharing this. I have never thought about the tires being cold enough to slip like that right out of the garage. I will be more careful now!

    Glad you weren't seriously hurt.

This totally blows guys. :frown: I feel terrible that it was my tire that caused him to crash. The tire wasn't really a race tire, but a Dunlop 208 (DOT - street legal) From what Reg and i can put together, it was probrably due to the stickyness of the tire. Rolling out his gravel driveway the tire loaded itself with small rocks and as he turned/leaned, to go down the road it rolled sideways on all the "marbles" stuck to it untill it cleared them off the face of the tire. .......Then TRACTION. BAM.

I think that'll be the last used tire i sell/put on for anyone. Im totally bummed, but no as much as Reg im sure.

Regggie Reggie Reggie Reggie. What can I say. Glad you are OK. You and I both know what happens when you push it too hard don't we.

But. Most people have health insurance to pay the med bills. What is important here is will you be able to fix the steed in time for 2010?

Really sorry to hear this Reg! Glad to hear the bodily damage was not too serious. Hopefully not as bad as Tori's nose... It seems that driveway of yours is the culprit and I think we should either start a collection to get it paved or turn the SLO 2010 event into a driveway paving party! :party2: (Driveway:3 - VFR's: 0) I guess the "wall of shame" will be expanded for the next BBQ...

    Heal up quick!!

Sorry to hear about the crash, Reg, but glad you're generally OK. Good luck getting the bike back to 100% as cheaply as possible.

Not good Reg shit sometimes just happens, an experienced mate did something similar last year on a damp morning just crossing the centre line infront of house on brand new tires, bikes can always be repaired and glad to hear you're mostly alright.

Yo Reg glad to hear you are ok - I am sure you will be back in the saddle soon. Sorry to hear about the damage to your beautiful VFR. I had a recent meeting with Mr. Pavement and gotta do some plastic repair. I decided to try and repair my plastics - got inspired to do so by the Bubba post.

yeah that damn driveway is out to get me. I crashed my step sons dirt bike on it a few months back riding a wheelie across the yard. I dropped the VFR once when Brian and I were unloading it from my truck in the drive. Tori dropped his bike in my drive cause his foot didn't get traction... I guess I really do need to get it paved. Now I have to save up to fix the bike first, though...
