Much apologies if things come off that way. Sometimes its hard to discuss likes and dislikes especially technical in a forum without sounding like a jackass. We are all viffer nuts and passonate about our bikes. I imagine if we were sipping cold ones at the local sports bar, I'm sure it would be more like a friendly jabbing among brothers.

    Peace dude,
    MD

I hear ya taylor98, and I've been around this forum for a couple years now. This 'generation' is better than that one has already been played to death in the past.

    This place needs an enema.

I like the Vtec......... but unfortunately, I have nothing to compare it to......

I'm 42 years old and prior owner of a VTX1800 for about a year.... man, that thing was heavy and seemed to get tossed around alot on the interstate behind big rigs. Decided to try a sportier ride and looked for about 6 months before I found what I wanted..... a VFR with low miles.

Now, that being said...... I haven't even scraped the pegs on this bike in the few months of ownership and have probably hit the Vtec point only twice....

I do the majority of my driving in the 3500 to 4500 tach range.
To me, having a "VTEC" doesn't matter....... I never see it anyways....

Well, Taylor I see you have jumped right in with both feet.
    Welcome aboard.

Who would think such a simple question would cause such a ruckus(little Honda joke there).

I will ride my 2000 until the wheels fall off.
But that is how I roll. I enjoy putting mile after mile on my Hondas to see where they take me.
Do I dislike the 6th gen? Nope.
It just so happens that the 5th gen was dropped in my lap, and I will love it forever. Will I buy a newer VFR? Prolly some day, but my 2000 has lots more to show me. And I shall see all of it!

    Ride your own ride.
