It is an interesting task to fighter a VFR. They do not naturally lend to the transformation. Good luck.

the worst bike to fighter is the Katana. The frame is wider than the tank and leaves a horrible gap.

I dont think that looks terrible other than the radiators....

those wheels would look great on my RWB..jealous

I am interested to see the outcome. Fairings are cool until you drop the bike. Then they are just expensive!

I personally LOVE Street Fighter bikes. I beleive they are built in the tradition of old Harley bobber chops & and stipped down cafe racers. I'm truely a beleiver in the "I don't need this part" mindset. I gotta stand behind drewl and TOE on this one. The Gen 6 is one of those bikes that will fight you every step of the way. Ain't like stripping down a CBR. Not to say I don't wanna see what you come up with! I realy want to see what you do with for the radiators. Good luck on this build. I'm sure she will ask for more blood from you knuckles on durring her transformation. That's the price we pay when we decide to undertake these tasks. So far it's seems like you have a good plan. Go forth and do great things!

I must admit - I think it looks better with fairings. That said, with some effort the streetfighter look might work on it. I'd like to see more pictures!

Not all naked VFR's look horrible; it just depends on how much work you are willing to do. I'll be interested to see how yours turns out.

You may have to figure out a way to channel more air through the radiators.

That or coinsder swapping them out with a front mounted. Like the one in surfers pic. Seen it done before on fighters with the dual rads.

Do you think you will upset the cooling air flow, not having the fairings on? Just wondering

    Cheers
    John.

not a bit... your bike without fairings is just a lighter less areodynamic form of its former self.
