I think the bridgestone battalxes are the best "bang for the buck" certainly not the best tire by any means but a good tire none the less...

    Some Tire Choices

I run the Avons on my 74 Ducati GT750 and liked them much better than the Bridgestone BT-45 Battlax.

I do use the BT-45s on my 79 Honda CBX and they work OK.

My 86 VFR750F came with the Dunlop GT-501s in excellent condition. Until I get the front forks tweaked, I can't have an opionion on the GT-501s. When I get ready to change, I think I will go with the Metzler Lasertec.

Here is onformation on your options:

DUNLOP The V-rated GT501 features bias-ply construction and incorporates a radial-style tread pattern for contemporary styling and a larger footprint. An optimized profile creates a larger contact patch for increased cornering confidence, with smooth side-to-side transitions. Increased tread-to-void ratio delivers superior grip in dry conditions, with a high level of grip in wet weather. Increased center tread depth provides improved wear characteristics and enhanced water clearance. Rear compound increases grip and wear resistance.
