handebar pinch bolt torque

    Hi,

    I have just received my genmar bar risers for my vfr 800 fi-y 2000 model but didnt get any instructions, could someone tell me the correct torque setting in foot pounds for the 8mm pinch bolt which attaches the handlebars to the top of the fork leg, thanks

    For what its worth, the spec is 20 ft/lbs on a gen 6.

    I've just managed to find the instructions from Genmar manufacturing on the net, and it says only 14 ft pounds which i am not convinced is correct, any other info would be appreciated

    I have a factory manual for 6G, which says 20lbs for the handlebar pinch bolt.
