Live in Devon south west england(But Scottish) Got my 1999 vfr about 2 weeks ago. The idea was to get a second bike to give my v rod a rest as I was piling the miles on it,but the vfr only had 17000 miles on it and looks immaculate, trouble is its now sitting in the garage keeping the v rod company, as i dont want to take it out in the rain and get it all dirty!!

Only Harleys will melt of you put them out in the rain. Quite the opposite with the VFR. Take it out for a ride. Nothing looks as good in your garage as a fast, nice bodied model just come in from the rain, all damp and shiny..... ;- PpPpPpPp You will just wanna honda her all the more! LOL WELCOME here. Spent a bit of time in the south of England, but didn't make it as far west as Devon. Are you near Exeter proper or elsewhere?

Thanks for the welcome, harleys actually stand up pretty well to bad weather(I've had 8) but they look real bad when their dirty. The weather here is 70mph winds and rain so think I'll wait till it eases up before venturing out!I live about 45 miles north west of Exeter on the north devon coast in a little town called Bideford do you know it?

Congrats on your VFR and welcome to the forum!

+1 on the rain riding thing. VFRs are just fine in the rain. I've ridden mine thru heavy rain a couple times with no issues.
