    I would like your opinion.

Iv been talking with a member about buying his spare fuel injection system.

Lining up the carbs shouldn't be hard, The hard part is that I would have to modify the wiring to fit a 98 or newer pgmfi on a 95 bike. That part ill probably need help with.

I can get the rail and injectors from a member.

As some of you know i ride my bike for work spending most of the day on the highway and would like to do this mainly for the gas mileage. Thinking also about doing a small turbo for the same reason.

    Is this project worth doing?

No... You wont save that much fuel. The money and time you spend if you even can make it work could buy a whole lot of gas. If you want a fuel injected vfr there are alot of 5th and 6th gens out there right now for a steal. Unless you are someone that enjoys tinkering and has 2 bikes I would not suggest this.

    Can't be done.......unless you're a REAL engineer and a very creative one.

There would be many technical problems to solve as well as physical problems needing fabrication, machining, and welding skills.

Buying a gen 5 or 6 would be the only way to sensibly get FI.

just how much more mpg does a gen 5 get than a gen 4 with carbs ??

fitting a one tooth larger front sprocket would cost about $30, could be done in about 20 minutes, be easily removed, and give as much better fuel mileage as FI

id have to trace the wires from my control box to see what wires do what. turn signals and what not. and find out which ones they match up in the newer control box.

The best way to improve your mileage is to just remove three of your sparkplugs. The wheezing noise is something you can get used to in a couple of weeks.
