I have heard the Dunlop Roadsmart are very good. I have an 86 VFR and do mostly sport touring/touring. I am not a ricky racer type yet..... I just got this bike a couple months ago. Any recommendations?
    Thanks
    Gary

Did not notice any for stock VFR Wheels on Dunlop sizing guide. Metzler does still offer a set for 16 and 18 inch wheels.

I run Bridgestone Battlax tires on my '86 500, 750 and 1000. I've had excellent luck with these tires.

+ 1 on the Bridgestone Battleaxes. Haven't had a single complaint with mine in the 3k+ theyve been on the bike. Good wet weather traction as well.

I'm running the Bridgestone Battleaxes BT045 and I HATE them, maybe I got a bad set
but after 4,000 the front is fathead or cupped and I get a wobble in the high speed
corners. And some times when I take my hands off the bars I will get a front end
wobble and OMG I have almost lost it a couple of times. Now I have had the bike sense 84 and the best tires I had were radials. Yes the only ones available are over size but the dam things ran great. So I too em looking for good tires for my 16"-18". I think I might try the Metzler's.

Thanks for the info, I probaby should have noted I have a 700 VFR. I still have the stock rims and figured I have to use the bias tires, not radials. I have an 2002 ST1100 so this is my first VFR, thanks again.
