    Thanks

It seems like is runs a little cooler. The factory cans have a heat shield on the outside and you can definitely feel the heat from the can after a long ride. With my current setup I can get off the bike after a long ride an immediate touch the can.

I was going to change the factor air filters until I read a couple of articles some time ago that showed aftermarket air filters do not increase performance as claimed and that the K&N filters actually hurt performance.

I have to go with masari on this one..the stock airfilter will flow more air than even a modified engine will require. I did do some back to back dyno runs (2 each, before engine mods) with bmc v. stock and found that the bmc made about 1.6 more peak hp than the stock filter..never tested the k&n, as i think they are junk. i'm not sure why the bmc made more peak hp, it could have to do with the shape and the way it smooths out the airflow into the velocity stacks...don't really have an answer for that. with the bmc filter, the clean and reuse aspect, every 25,000 km, might save you some money. I clean my filter twice a year regardless of mileage, so it works out good for me.

Nice bike masari, thanks for posting the vid.
