hey NCB, thanks for the vid link. some pretty cool stuff on your bikr that i can see. what do think off the ohlins set up on your 6G? i think i have adjusted my stock shock to its optimum set up for me but always wonder if ohlins can make a big difference. i had an ohlins in My VTR 1000 so have some prior knowledge on them. worth it for the 6g do you think? thanks RT
The Ohlins is good for me. there are many schools of thought on this subject at this forum, but i wouldn't go any other way.

Are you able to notice a sizable difference with the extra ventilation in the fairings? Was this necessary because of your engine mods or in your opinion would this help a stock VFR? My '07 takes forever to cool down once it gets hot even at highway speeds. I also notice I have to be in clear air more than 7 to 10 car lengths behind a vehicle for the temp to drop faster. Great job. You can tell you put your heart and soul into it..... The passion is obvious!
ron, I don't want to alarm you, but it appears someone drilled holes in your fairing. Also there is some gold colored thing sticking out from the center of your rear hub. that thing will never stay on when you ride... hey, what gives, when you blip it, I hear a whiny sound that reminds me of my gear driven cams? what is that noise? do 6gs normally have that? it doesn't sound like the typical 6g to me...
I have exactly the same questions because I have exactly the same symptoms, especially the clear air, I find it makes a massive difference to the cooling speed if I can have 100 or more metres distance from the car in front...
the mod to the fairings was done to aid in scavenging more air from inside the fairings, when the bike is moving and air is flowing over the outside surface of the fairing. an acquaintance of mine does aerodynamic computer modeling and works in that field. after many discussions, he convinced me that drilling the fairings would be beneficial.
Yeah, Nicely Done! I may have to pinch that venting Mod... I take it that the black out frame, ssa and fork legs have crossed your mind. I sourced a very affordable powder coater in Petaluma that will do my wheels in the next few months.
