We recently had a couple days of rain down here and they were the first I've ridden my VFR in. I notice that when I park her after a good ride, there tends to be an odor, not unlike food cooking, that wafts from the engine area. Strange...:vfrshorty: While riding in the rain, I noticed that the smell was suddenly of something burning or melting. It smelled this way throughout the entire ride while the engine was hot and has disappeared with the rain, although it still smells like food. Has anyone else experienced this or can explain this? I've had my Hawk for years, have ridden in the rain many a time, and never smelled anything like this. Thanks!
Thanks fellas. Although possible, I doubt there's a mouse as I just did a major service and would have discovered it when I removed the fairings. The rain water in the manifold, while odd, sounds plausible. Thanks for the insight.:hi2:
