    Hey all,

I'm almost ready to grab a 4th or 5th gen VFR....but Im concerned about my size fitting the VFR in terms of a far reach to the bars...

Im a small athletic kind of build - 5"4 short arms and short legs 140lbs...works great for my training and triathlons - but not for my love for bikes :) Never seem to fit right.

Here's the deal - I compared an R6 "reach to the bars" to the VFR - and the VFR bars are FAR away compared to the little 6's. But I want one. The bike would be PERFECT for me if I could get the bars 3 inches closer to me. The stock height of the bars is fine...

Any options? Anyone else around here deal with fitting the bike in terms of reach to the bars? Worse case scenario - I go for a CBR600 or 1000, but I really want that v4...

    Thanks!!

Hey, I ride a 2nd gen and am about 5'3" and weigh 155. I don't have any problem with the bars being too far. If you're that concerned there are options, but they will cost more. Heli-bars or even risers. If you're that worried about it, you can look into those options. Like I said though, no problems with me and my bike.

    Reach

Sounds like a need for Heli-bars or even convertibars.

If you ride a time trial bike in your triathalons, you will be fine. I'm 5'3" and like the riding position of my 4th Gen. I had Heli bars but traded them for stock.
