I wanna see some pix! I laid down my gen2 in some twisties, and after hunting for the full fairing plastics (I found them btw, but at $168 a pop at the cheap end) have decided it's probably gonna be cheaper to just strip my baby naked and make her mean... Problem is, I wanna do it on a fairly tight budget, without ordering a load of custom stuff from overseas and all that nonsense... Any suggestions you guys may have would be awesome, and I'd love to see pix of what y'all have done with your machines...

Here's a link to the headlight setup I'm interested in:
Yellow Streetfighter motocross universal Fairing Motorcycle Headlight
(keeping my black and yellow theme goin)

Also, what do you guys know about CA smog restrictions? I know my bike has a "california can" aka charcoal canister, and I'm wondering if it's legal/safe to remove that hideous thing... if not, I'll have to paint it or somethin', idk...

Fine to remove the charcoal canister, just run the line to the bottom of the bike. You may or may not smell some slight gas fumes once in a great while, no big deal. Safe, yes, legal, obviously not but who's gonna check?

Is it possible to just remove the hoses entirely? or better to run 'em to the bottom?
