I have ordered A power commander 3 for my 98 vfr800, The guy on the site I ordered it from say's he recomends I buy two O2 sensor eliminators also. I have been led to believe by some people on this site that the 98 model didn't have O2 sensors (thanks), and my own research suggests they weren't introduced till 2000. Doesn't this mean I don't need them, will I have any problems installing the power commander without them?

You are correct. O2 sensors were not introduced to the VFR until 2000. The 98's and 99's did NOT have them and thus you don't need the eliminators.

No, you will no have any problems installing the PCIII without them. It will still be plug and play then either experimenting with maps or getting a dyno tune.
