First Winter

Its my first winter with my new baby...Its going to be parked in my garage which is not heated but rarely goes below 0 c ....Insurance runs out in a few days and i was wondering if theres anything i should do before it gets real cold!! Any advice??:smile:........Mark

 

New bike

I would think you have little to nothing to worry about with a new bike, the only thing I would think if paranoid enough is to check the coolant quality. You could also park it in the front room and sit on while watching TV.:thumbsup:

 

I change the oil; fill the gas tank and add some stabilizer (and run it a bit); and pull the battery and bring it inside and put it on a trickle charger though not all the time.

 

Not a bad idea, but I bet my son would find a way to tip it over on the dogs while playing Wii....

Just change the oil/filter, add some stabil, fill the tank and run it for a few minutes, put a battery tender on it, and roll it into the living room. Make sure you put a pad under the stand so you don't have to waste beer/VFR upgrad money on new carpet in the spring.

 

Yep, I've already started getting the stuff for the oil change, tune-up, fuel stabilizer, and a kick-stand pad so that when i roll it inside, it doesn't mess up or break any of the tiles in the dining area :biggrin: That will leave the air-cooled Katana and the new 86 VF1000R winter project in the garage.
