Blizzards in Winnipeg, Ski hills open in Calgary, Temperature was -4C. (about 22 F) ridng home from work last night. Yup, seems winter is well on its way, Of course this means little to you candy assed riders who live in the warmer climes of the southern USA. Your un out for Gerbings gear when the temp drops to within a couple dozen dregees of freezing.

    BTW

We had snow flurries here in southern Wi. on Sat.
I rode a little today and the temp guage showed 31 but felt good.
Went ahead and moved the snow blower to the front and mower to the back and check them out.

I ca imagine WI gets its share. I still ride int he winter so long as no snow or black ice. I have spent oodles (hey Drewl...there is a word just for you) on winter gear so stay quite warm and dry. A new rain suit is on order. Actually should be in by now.

Just because you choose to live in some half frozen hell hole doesn't mean we are all a bunch of candy asses. If you're stupid, you gotta be tough . Next time you're thinking about buying heated gear, go rent a uhaul instead, and move to someplace where that isn't necessary.

Nope. Just a couple of members teasing each other for the fun of it.

Randy is mad at all of us Californians for not having to suffer through the BC winters like he does. NorCal is being kind enough to point out to Randy that it's his own fault, and that we don't feel sorry for him.

Yeah...but I am like the Duke. I have true grit and ride in this. You Californians like to sit inside by the fire, sipping on hot cocoa like Rock Hudson would.

Do you realize how hard it is to ride a motorcycle in 60-70(f) degree weather in January. I mean not every one can do it. Hence all the snow birds up north. I mean its really miserable haveing to ride 3-4 hours of twisties then have to fuel up in the middle of the winter, then to have to do it all over again. Come on... cut us "southerners" some slack.

Are you implying that we have false grit? Them's fightin' words, pal!

The only "grit" I remember having was sand in my swim trunks, and I never did THAT again on purpose, either.

And for what it's worth, our butlers insist on serving tea, not cocoa. Get your facts straight!

It just might rain here tuesday. I may have to break out my "winter" gloves and put the liner back in my jacket. :ass: :thumb: What's this "snow" thing you talk about Randy?

yep, I had to put my winter liner back in my jacket today cause it was a freezing 57 degrees this morning on my way home from work. Tonight when I was coming in it was 61... maybe its time for me to invest in some heated grips.:pound: My bike is happy to be running between 184 and 190 agian though.

In Winnipeg, if you hang your 501's out in February to dry, and fold them when you take them off the line, they become cutoffs.
