    Bimble:
to wander aimlessly or stroll/walk without urgency to a destination.

I suggest a whole new word, "Pimble" This could define posts having the same qualities as a bimble.

I for one am sure glad that there is someone out and about who investigates all of these badboy LEOs. What a great idea. I sure hope no one takes on the task of investigating all those darned bad boy bikers.

There's an awful lot of redundancy in that definition. Most likely derived form the Latin "bimbo". Thanks for enlightening me, though.

Just my two cents on the cop rant. I've been stopped several times since getting my license at 16. I'm now a LOT older than that. In all that time, I've never had a bad encounter with a LEO, and I'm probably 50/50 on ticket vs. warning.

The closest to a bad encounter with a LEO would be when I was 16. I was driving through a neighborhood at night with a carload of peeps in my '55 Chevy ragtop, and a car was coming towards me from the opposite direction. I decided to go ahead and turn left anyway, so I sped up and drifted all four tires through the corner. It was beautiful!

Unfortunately, the approaching car turned out to be a cop. He pulled me over and in a red-faced rage ordered me out of the car and away from the vehicle. I thought I was going to get a well deserved thumping, but instead he asked me if I could think of one good reason why he shouldn't shove his nightstick right up my ass. I thought for a moment and said, "Well, sir, you're not going to want to use it again with all my shit on it!"

He stared a moment, laughed, gave me a lecture, and let me go. I never did that again (in front of a cop).

The only run in I've had with the police while on my bike was when I was going entirely too fast. Since I caused that attention myself I can't say anything bad about the cop. He was rather nice to me since I was honest with him and didn't try to run. Most people that have dealings with cops while they're out riding is their own fault. If you do the crime, you have to do the time. I no longer ride like I did years ago, so I never have problems from the police. I know there are bad cops out there, but there are just as many bad bikers out there as well.

One key issue that should be clarified is that Roman bimbos all have mustaches. Even some of the guys.

    Bimbo-Bimbas-Bimot.

I agree - there are many Leo bikers so they do not hate bikers, but do have some issues with squids and people who have no regard for the safety of others on the road. I have my moments and I am not a role model or perfect person. I try to co-exist with cars and traffic and enjoy the open road when I can. Things have been really bad in NYC with noise laws and motorcycle safety checks (too many dirty riders) the last few years and the authorities may be fustrated by bikers because they are trying to please cagers who do not like bikers who whiteline and pass them on the road. There are many local politicians and social groups who may not hate bikers but do not like loud bikes, parking on the sidewalk, and the same old squid thing. Policitians and lawmakers are basically fustrated because they do not know how to regulate or make money off bikers. The noise laws that are becomming an issue in moer States need to go to a Federal level so a universal Db level can be established and Dealers and manafacturers should not sell illegal pipes for the street. Also I have become something of a supporter of tiered licensing which may happen in some States. I also believe that a safety course should be mandatory for getting a MC license and also if you get ticketed for excessive speeding along with a ticket you should be required to complete a safety course or your license gets suspended. I may be kinda hard nosed but, if you let people know you are not gonna play that stops some of the crap. Hitting a person in the pocket and putting them in jail will make some people take things more seriously.

agree with emon on most of the issues. Why do dealers sell things that are illegal, even with cages? I know my bike, even with aftermarket exhaust, is quiter than some of the stereo equipment in cars. At least on this bike. Excessive speeding (more than ## over, for car or for bike) eans back to training. If it is mandatory for getting a licence that training be there, then assistance from the state needs to be there. I had drivers ed for my car in high school. If I didn't take it, then I had to wait until I was 18 before I could drive. Otherwise 16. Motorcycle saftey checks, sure. Then make it for cagers as well. I've seen some cars where I wouldn't WANT to get close to, just for fear of things flying off. It still isn't going to stop people from driving. Most - or all - aftermarket pipes say right on there "NOT FOR STREET USE" - and on the factory says do not alter the exhaust system. So why are they sold? $$ why is it not enforced? who knows.

As a new member to VFR World, I'm very impressed with everyone's open mindedness with regard to law enforcement officials. As a cop, I'm always a bit reluctant to reveal that tidbit about myself because some people have an axe to grind, or change the way they act around me when they find out I'm a cop.

I think you guys are very open minded, and I really appreciate that. So, for those of you keeping stats:

I was not picked on in school.

My dick is not small, although that claim of cops having small dicks always makes me wonder just how the claimer's knowledge of dick size became vast enough to make that claim. Just an observation.

I think the majority of both cops and bikers are very good people, and the few that give both groups a bad name in some people's view, are just as disliked from within the groups. I've been a cop for about 15 years. I'm still out there, my collar is brass free, so I don't ride a desk. In that time, I have only passed out a few tickets to a few very deserving bikers.

Thank you all very much. I'm very impressed.

    TO BIMBLE
To ride a motorcycle for the pure pleasure of it with no particular destination or journey time planned. The bimble can be considered satisfactory whether short or long

The perfect bimble is often preceeded by the phrase "I'm just nipping down the shop to get the milk as you asked Dear". This is generally said a minimum of 4 hours before returning to the start point.

However, the perfect bimble is likely to be followed by a 3 day period of silence plus loss of matrimonial benefits for an unspecified period.
Statements like "I got lost" or "The voices made me do it" are not consider a suitable defence

Although it feels like I work all the time, I work 5pm to 3am, Tues through Friday. If you're planning a trip to the Oregon coast, I can let you in on the cool things to see, where to stay and such.
