    Hi all
    I'm a 6ft, 57 year old Aussie 'teenager'...
After a spell of many many years (30+), the urge to ride again has overtaken my senses...
After a short spell with a ZZR250, it quickly became too 'small' (in size mostly, as I'm a 6 footer... the rev-head days are gone)
So... after much head scratching and looking, I am now the proud owner and rider of a dark blue VFR 750.
I loved the Vee sound and feel of a CX500 I test rode recently... but the Vee sound of the VFR is just something else to behold...
And it fits my long frame like a glove...
Looking forward to my first venture up the highway (even though she & I will be commuting up the highway about 100km one workday/week)

Welcome aboard Ozwanderer. I'm fairly new to the site too, but if you think and act a little left (or right) of centre you'll fit in with the rest of the "madness"

I'm a few hours South of you in Newcastle. Hopefully we will be able to help you out any time you have a question or query regarding the wonderful world of Honda V4 power.

    Regards Smithy

    Thanks Smithy
Well.. craziness is a bit like me... and a slightly 'warped' sense of humour
Just spotted a reference to www.OzVFR.org and signed up there... just have to wait for Admin to 'approve' me, then see what madness goes on there too...
Picked up my ride on Friday... well.. previous owner delivered it to Grafton for me where I was working... then I rode her home... very impressed with how smooth she rides.
Been raining all day, so can't wait to get out there again..
    Cheers for now
    Laurie

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome... it really does feel like I've found a new home.
Great forum this... there just SOOOO much to read (well... the weather was crap on Sunday anyways.. lol)
Finally got me VFR on the road for a pleasure ride yesterday (public holiday)... escorted my partner on her CX500 to Bellingen (she's on her L's).. we caused a stir at a local servo... some tourist bike enthusiasts spotted us riding TWO classic bikes  ... came over for a chat and a drool... lol
Great morning out tho... and here I sit today, ridin' a desk :frown:

Hey Wanderer when I got back into biking it was to just ride to work on the good days. It wasn't long before every day was a good day because I rode rain, hail, or shine. Viffers are wonderful bikes even the ancient ones, yours is about middle of the lineage. ENJOY.

Hi guys... and thanks again for the welcomes...

You are so right about the 'good day = ride to work' thing... I don't think I've even got into my car in the last 4 weeks (poor neglected thing.. lol)

Almost a weelk since taking delivery... just done the first of my weekly 100km commutes to work... looking forward to the 100km return... she just purrs along like she's on rails... (what bends?? I didn't feel any!)

6.55 litres per 100km economy so far... thats same as my partner's CX500
