was planning on doing a duffy lake loop ride. is anyone interested? large section has been repaved.
if anyones interested let me know so we can plan a date (weather permitting) should be soon before it gets to cold higher up.

 

Hey Jeff. I was thinking about a local ride Sunday, 1/2 day type thing. I'm not sure my rear tire has a "duffy loop" left in it.

 

I am off this weekend. What day you have in mind Jeff. I will keep tabs on this thread. If it is a go, I will see if I can convince ScottB to come along. He is new to the sight and a fellow Chilliwackonian...I think that is a word.

Should be dry but it will be cool. But then aqgain, electric liners really are great. You all have them don't you?

 

Can't do Sunday guys, sorry. Kids birthday parties going on.

 

I actually have a kid's dedication that morning, but I might be convinced if it's an afternoon type thing. I'll keep tabs on the thread.

 

...ooooooo! Another 5th gen - finally! I'm usually the only non-vtec in the pack.

If I get my day parole...I'd like to do the Langley - Abb. - Mission loop Sunday afternoon - if that interests anyone. 3-4 hrs and a beer afterward.

There's also the toy run, but I'd rather be riding out in the valley than "parading" down Hastings at 10/kmh.

I think later next week looks like the weather you want for the Duffy Loop.

 

Sure, if we were looking around 14:00 or so, I could probably swing that (it's right around nap time for the kids, hehe).

Your thinking Duffy Lake for this Sunday?

 

Anything and everything. Hell, A parade down Hastings and Main would be fun. All my friends live there. I'm watching and will be in on whatever is decided.

 

ya that was the plan, probably last chance to do an interior ride. i cant do this ride next weekend with soccer tournaments and thanksgiving.and with it getting colder up on the hills.

I'd love to go on maybe the last decent ride of the season but there's no way in .... that I can make it. :frown: Even next weekend is pooched for me.

 

I last posted up at 05:10, just after my nap while drving home from work. Rested now.

I have never done the Duff, What are the elevations like. I was hitting temps of only 1 degree the last couple nights so if we are hitting higher elevations, we run the risk of frost. If you are confident that this will not be an issue, I would like to do the Duff but again, if more are better positioned to do something of a half day nature more local, then that is what we should do. Riding with you guys is as important as the ride.

OK, here's where I am on this...

I think I will pass on the Duffy Loop. My rear tire is pretty bad, it's 10+ hours with stops and could be pretty cool in the morning (I know -I'm a wimp)

If others go on the Duffy with Jeff, like Randy, who should, as it truly it would be an adventure, I'll probably join up on a BCSB ride to the toy run and then Squamish for lunch (or whatever that group decides).

If anybody wants to ride local - great, I'm flexible. If ScottB wants to ride, but not til 2pm, I may ride somewhere before that. Heading out 11-12 would be ideal.

are you in Randy? we could meet at 200th and #1 off ramp south side at chevron also theres a tim hortons 1 block south lets say 745 leave at 8am
if you v never done this ride i consider it one of the most scenic BC rides when weather is clear which is suppose to be tomorrow.
