i really want to get the Michelin Pilot 2 tire on the back of my Interceptor. Of course the rear Pilot sizes are WAY too big but the front are closer to the stock size (stock is 110/90/18). It's either between the 110/80/18 or 120/70/18. Which do you think I should get to keep the bike as close to original handling?

I would go with 120/70 on front but what will you put on the rear?
your front rim is 3" wide correct?

You can fit a 120 on the stock VF500 Front rim? I think the fender will rub.

I have a 110/90-16 on the front right now.

    My rear was a 130.

    I am not sure on fender as I don't have a 500
oh and I see you have 16" front rim so you will need to ck rim width.
you might be better off finding the correct size tires from another company.

100/90/16 is stock size for the vf500f. in the front. 110/90/18 for the rear. I have a 120/90/18 on now, but that will change. got an f2 rim off e-bay for 35. just need to get it and some other parts to send to Jamie.

im sorry, i shoulda clarified. Im thinking of using a front tire on the rear of my interceptor. the only rear size of the Pilot 2 for an 18" wheel is 160/60/18. I dont want to use that. But the front Pilot 2 tires for an 18" wheel are a 110/80/18 and a 120/70/18. So first of all, would it be ok to use a front tire in the rear, and if so which of these 2 sizes would be closest to the profile of the original size of 110/90/18?

I don't think a shop would do that anyway........just keep to your original tires or do the wheel swaps

alright, ill steer clear of that idea. ACTUALLY,... i was just reading that The B-Stone BT45 (which is already on my rear) is a dual compound tire. I never knew. So ill stick with that tire.

You can go with a 130/80 rear if you want more tire selection.

    ....and a 110/90 front.

I have BT45's on both of the bike I have, and they do really well. There's nothing I can can say that I don't like about them!
