Hey guys my 83 vf750f makes a noticeable clatter when its cold as soon as it warms up there is no weird noises, its only when cold. I presume my valves need to be adjusted? Would this make logical sense?

I have a set of new cams just in case because when i inspected them at one time, there was a tiny pit in one of the intake lobes.

However, this clatter goes away once its warm but its not normal valve clatter at first.

Bike has 19k, runs fantastic, i just put in a new clutch, new synthetic oil.

    Tom

ALSO, i have the cam "adjuster" tool, what is the spec suppose to be at? I know the manual says X value, but didnt honda release a different value ?

    Starter clutch

Neck and I have gone back and forth about this. He has said his bike makes an ugly noise when cold but I never heard it, until yesterday. It was a bad starter clutch. It is a very unique sound and knew what it was, after I took it apart it had shattered the clutch. Not sure of cause but a bit of info that may help.

I cant even really describe the sound, its a loud clatter noise and its only there for about 5 minutes once the bike gets off C (temp gauge). Ill see if i can get a video of the noise soon, to late tonight. I appreciate the suggestion ill give it a check.
