I'm having good luck with the Dunlop Roadsmart that I installed this spring. Wearing very well so far with over 5000 miles on them.

currently have Michelins, but have done the Maxxis previously with good results. Before that it was the Pirelli dragons, which are no longer made.

I looked at those first. how many miles do ou think youll get out of them?

U drive 3k miles a month, there's no way i can afford new tires every 2 months.

Bridgestone BT-016 front and rear are being mounted today. Never used them before, so I don't yet know what to expect in the way of wear.

Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs - about 1000km on them (of which about 250km are from me) and so far, so good. Very confidence inspiring and great in the rain, too.

    I started with Dunslops,
    Ran Conti RA's, good tires,
    Tried Avon,
Running Pilot Powers 2CT's. The best yet! Good in the wet, and stick like glue in the dry. No chicken strips on the rear, and not much on the front.
I plan to buy the PP2CT's again.
I should get about 4000 miles out of the set which is as good as anything I've tried.

I've run Dunlop, Metzler, Pirelli and Bridgestone. I just put Shinko 009 Ravens Radials on 400 miles ago and I'm really impressed. Once I got them scrubbed in, I have pushed them very hard and have total confidence in them. I've had no issues with lost traction and have ridden them to the edge. I got one slip on some new street paint, but that was it.

Michelin Road Pilot 2CT's here. Highly recommended.

I'm not an aggressive rider, but having said that I currently have well over 8000 miles on mine, they still look and handle extremely well, and they probably won't need to replaced until around this time next year if all continues to go well.

I use Pilot Powers - they last about 4,000 miles.

My friends swear by Pilot Roads for longer wear..

I put the Michelin Pilot Road 2CT on about 600 miles ago. So far, they've been great. Smooth, and for my style, I like their turn-in and handling. Like RedRover5683, I'm not overly aggressive, but they do seem to handle quite well. I'm much more confident on these than my previous Dunlops.

I use Bridgestone BT016, they are cheap, stick like glue and lasted me a little over 6000 miles on my last set on the GSXR. On the VFR i put about 1200 miles on it so far and it still looks like new besides the sides which is a little chewed up from canyons. The Viffer seems a little harder on the tires because of its sheer weight, i think i might not get 6K on these if i keep visiting the canyons.

I have a set of used tires a Pirelli DCIII front and a Pirelli Diablo rear.

The tires have 1500-200 miles and a few track days. There is a good 2,000 miles street miles left in these tires. I know you are on a budget so if you are interested, please PM me if you are interested. I only ask 20.00 bucks for the shipping.

I bought my 98 VFR a year ago with BT-021s on it. I like them quite a bit, they warm up fairly quickly, work great in the rain, and are fairly inexpensive. Not the best for tearing up the twisties, I notice some slipping at extreme leans, but not bad. They definately give you some warning so that's good. Since I put on lowering pegs to save my knees on long rides, I lost some cornering anyway so they should be fine for me.

I'm not sure when the previous owner put them on, but I put 6k on them and the front is now down to the wear strips and the rear looks like new. I did a search and found out that this is a pretty common problem with these tires. Being really short on bucks right now, I broke one of my cardinal rules about replacing tires in sets and bought a new BT-021 for the front only. Hopefully they will both wear out at the same rate. I would probably give them a 4 out of 5 for a rating. But the one thing they have going for them is the price, around $200.00 a set shipped.
