o.k. I'm a newbie but wanted to share that I got (what I think is) a great deal on a Honda licensed jacket. From Motorcycle Superstore online I got a Nirvana Touring Jacket with elbow, shoulder and back protection, vents, heavy cordura nylon, lots o' pockets, a zip out insulated vest and zip out liner for $99.99. No shipping and arrived in 3 days! It's also got Honda logos on the shoulders and the back. It matches my black VFR great.

fyi: I'm 6'1", 190 and wear a 42 long sport coat. I bought an XL and the fit is perfect.

I got the Jacket and matching pants too, each was $99. Both come with a quilted liner for warmth, and a plastic liner for waterproofing. They have CE armor and zip together in the back.

It's a closeout deal, so they are running out of some sizes and colors.

At $99 each its a steal. I usually just ride in my plain leather jacket and jeans because I didn't want to shell out the several hundred for a decent jacket and then more for pants.

Thanks a lot for posting that WiVFR. I've finally got some decent protective gear.

These are great jackets/pants I bought the pair when they were being blown out as well. excellent quality all around. I even wore them for a few snowmobile trips when we had the big snows a month back here in PA. the waterproof liner is excellent. I was drenched on the outside but not even damp on the inside. the waterproof liner when zipped up reaches almost to your chin.

The pockets are awesome too. the big one in the back easily fits my lunch and my thermos when I take the bike to work. two big front pockets perfect for cell phone, extra keys, wallet etc... probably several other pockets I have not even discovered yet too haha.

The vents work great as well. The jacket does everything you would expect a properly designed jacket to do.

If you find them online anywhere and want a jacket perfect to wear on an all day ride this is it.
