United Way Ride - Sept 15 - Burlington/Hamilton

I was wondering if anyone was going to be participating in the First Annual United Way Ride and Poker Run on Saturday, September 15, 2007. They have a website at www.ridetheunitedway.com for more information. It's a leisurely 150 km ride starting in Stoney Creek and finishing at Brant St. & Lakeshore Road with 3 stops along the way. $25 registration fee or free with $100 in pledges. Lots of prizes for the poker hands including a 42 inch plasma TV (could be a bit difficult carrying that home on the bike!) I'm registered and would love to link up with some of the other VFR enthusiasts from this group. Registration is between 9:30am and 11:30am. Any takers?

 

Well, the United Way ride is this Saturday. I was wondering if any other members will be joining the ride. I will be at the Stoney Creek registration at 10am with a friend that rides a Red Triumph ST. It would be nice to put some faces to some of the members of this group. Let me know if you are going to ride and let's try to link up along he way.

 

The ride this year is going to be on September 12th. If anyone else in the area would be interested in participating in this great ride for a good cause, please let me know. No sir I do not give to that corupt oragization,as good as it feels to give and hope they do things proper but they don't. Only the entiled get benefits and check out the salaries of the top executives.. I know people personally that were down and out and did not recieve any help after years of contributions, its a welfare organization.....rather do a toys for tots run..at least the kids will get something.. good luck be safe..
