i wonder if the salesman have two brain cells to rub together? If this youngster kills himself on that bike the guy that sold it to him should be held liable. What kind of asshole sells a hyabusa to a youngster as hi first bike? The convinces him that this is the best way to pick up chicks? WTF? Tony needs his balls kicked...... I understand that you gotta make a sale but how about possible return customers? selling this way is like playing russian roulette.

    Funny worded add though

Well, this thread is going all over the place, but I'll try to answer the questions/comments/concerns about the Aprilia.

First off, I am not filled with bike info. I wouldn't know a classic or a rarity if it hit me in the face. I simply enjoy riding.

I happened to bump into this guy in Hawks Nest, NY. (Most folks in NJ, PA, NY will know this place). Was looking at his bike just because I don't see too many Aprilia's on the road, and this was a really nice looking bike to me. Started BS'ing with the guy and looking over his bike. I may be old and the eyes are going, but I didn't have any doubt the stickers (for what that's worth) showed RSV4. He asked about my bike being a 4 cylinder, and when I said yes, its a V4, he said mine too.

Although the guy lives in NJ, he is from Poland. He was telling me his last bike that he had he shipped it over there and sold it because he made $1500 more selling it there. Possibly he bought his Aprilia there and had it shipped over?

He had an Akrapovic exhaust on it (with the pipes heat wrapped). It sounded great when he was on it, but for some reason it did sound like it was backfiring (popping?) when he would get off the gas.

I know it had Ohlins suspension on it.

Don't know if this helps or makes sense.

Dude, no problem, I was just complaining really. He very well could have had it shipped over here. Both Europe and Aussie have been riding them for a while now...

I'm on some Ape forums, and I am waiting for the RSV4 to show up over here... Impatiently. I don't think I'll get one this coming summer, cause the wife wants a more touring focused sport-tourer (read Concours 14), but if I get her that, I should be able to get the RSV4 the following year, which is OK with me, since that'll be year 2 and they should have some bugs worked out...
