I just finished a 3000 mile round trip to Dallas on my EX250 (750 miles a day), and the whole time I was wishing I had my VFR back. Well, I was browsing Craigslist and I came across an ad for a VFR that looked very familiar, so I did a bit of research. I googled the telephone number listed and found that it was for the dealership where I'd traded in my VFR almost two years ago. I fired off an e-mail and they confirmed that it was indeed *my* VFR and that it hadn't moved an inch since they got it :p

I'm getting rid of the EX250 anyways, it's pretty thrashed, and they said they can probably just do a straight trade (1990 model VFR for a 2008 EX250) or I could pay the value they paid me when I traded it in, which was $1500. I'm going to head up to Gilroy, CA from Bakersfield here in the next couple days and make it happen :D

1990 VFR's suffer from separation anxiety issues. I know cause I have one. Thinking of that poor bike left in some dark and dismal dealership makes me sad. Go get it.
I am also 5'8 and 130 lbs and its the best bike that I have ever owned. I don't know if you are referring to the VFR as the pig.. it is a little on the heavy side for my scrawny ass but hey I am in love.

EDIT: the wife just informed me that I have porked up to 145 lbs.
oh well. go get your bike and post pics!

Cool story. It's also a bonus that you were the last one to put any miles on the bike. Let us know when you get it. I'd like to see pictures too.

i once swapped bikes with a guy who had a ZZR 250,and he rode my ZZR 600.

the up shot of that was that i couldnt wait to get off his bike and back on mine, and didnt want to give mine back.
it was soooo slooooow i almost fell asleep riding it...suffering from 'are we there yet' syndrome.

i have no idea what 3000 miles on an EX250 must have been like...but the thought scares me..

go get that good old girl...and show her some attention.
