recently bought 98....oil type?

    okey dont flame me please......
    just got the bike.//no manual....
    do i use v twin or regular 4 stroke oil?
    weight too please.......will be ridden in Florida

    +1 to Reg's thread. Amsoil, Mobil 1 (motorcycle 10w - 40 or 15w-50 car) and Shell Rotella T seem to be the most popular oils used. Pick one they are all good. In any case synthetics are the way to go....

    Full synthetic, non-moly oil, 10W-40. I like the Motul 300V but there are tons of other good options. Keep it full synthetic and stay away from car oils since they contain moly. Other than that, you should be fine.

    thanks for the info.......
    i really was just curious about the weight and wether i use 4 stroke or vtwin oil.
    ill use the mobil 1 4t 10w 40 i guess....as i do with my other bikes.
    its just this is my first v4.....so i wasnt shure.
