Just the way my day is going. I'm at work and this Ontario weather has been crap all summer. The sun finally came out and I decided why not ride to work today... Who new the sun would actually shine and warm up the pavement.........A co worker came in to tell me my bike just fell over. I picked it up and need the following help with body work repair. It fell on the right side off the centre stand. Upper cowl, lower right cowel, front brk lever, right hand mirror, bent givi rack....All new I figure about $1400.00. Oh yeahhh the good news. My new GIVI case was in the office with me and is reported to be unharmed.

If anyone may knows who has the cheapest OEM panels I would like to know. I have had stuff repaired in the past with minor success.

I would also consider any suggestions for a good automotive body repair place in GTA north. I live in Barrie, Ontario.

    Thanks all

    Jeff

Whoa! Sorry to hear about that. Sounds more like it fell off a truck with all that damage! Hope you get it all fixed up soon, and for less than your estimate.

These guys are somewhat local to me: EMC Cycle
The prices are pretty steep for used stuff but they'll probably have what you need for much less than new.
Check out the VF500 under "Road Bikes"; It's been gone for about a 2 years (I checked:wink:) but the pics are still up.

Asphalt heats up and swallows the center stand/kickstand, good night.

Sorry to hear that my friend. Word of advice, leave your case on next time, will save you about $1000. They make great sliders...

Yes..hot asphalt sucked up the centre stand on the one side.

Hard to say if a frame slider may have saved anything...

I thought that was just a southern thing, I remember in Florida putting a can or wood under my sidestand because of sinkage. Here in AZ even the concrete isn't safe.
