    Say what you want..

...but we're all just VFR riders, I really don't get the us vs. them issue. Michael and Miguel run their respective sites as they wish. 'nuff said.

VFRD had a nice gathering in CO of folks from all over the US and Canada, some riding well over 2K to get there. I did about 1600 getting there and 1400 coming home. Good folks, good riding and good beer.

I've been "warned" over there, but I still frequent the site. Lots of good info. Very serious people. This site is just a lot more fun.

Well, apparently you haven't been paying attention son. Some one once put it nicely... "VFRD is like the library, a good place with lots of stuff to learn, but VERY easy to get scolded and kicked out by the librarian..... VFRW on the other hand is like a fun pub you go to after work to hang with your good buddies, talk about motorcycles, women, politics, swear as much as you like, start fights, etc..." Just good times, and most anything goes.

Heck, I left that site after my posts were taken down, and I got chastised for having an "inappropriate" avatar, and then the next thing is they were after you if you had a title they deemed inappropriate as well. LOOSEN UP!

Well Old Man, I'd say this place is more like a crack house, not a pub..

So, before I graciously close this thread with my iron fist.... :xxx:

I just want to say that Miguel runs a great site over there. As pretty much everyone has mentioned, there is a TON of exceptional technical information over there, and I think between the two sites, a VFR owner can probably get the answer to just about any question possible.

Every time Miguel and I have interacted, he's been friendly and professional, so I for one have never considered this some sort of "rivalry". It's a big world out there, and there is plenty of room for multiple "companies" providing the same service. If that wasn't the case, we'd all be driving Hyundais.

That being said, I think it's a testament to how excellent both sites are, based on the fact that between these two sites, we pretty much lead the internet for VFR information. There are a lot of other great VFR sites out there, but they tend to be more localized to specific countries, etc, whereas both VFRD and VFRworld truly cater to an international userbase.

So, kudos to both of us for running a world-class operation. Between the two sites, there's truly something for everyone, and folks can choose which experience best fits their personality, or simply use both, as the majority of our members do.

Finally, just to wrap up this lengthy diatribe, I am very pleased to announce that you can now get to VFRworld by going to the following URL (Thanks GeorgiaRider for the suggestion):
