86 Vs 87 Vfrs

My Son Has A 87 Vfr 700 That We Restored, What A Fun Bike!
There Is A 86 Vfr 700 For Sale In My Area, Are They As Good As The 87
Vfrs

The 86-87 VFR's ara almost the same bike part for part with very slight changes . You will never notice the difference.

 

I think the '86 has a center stand and they dropped it for '87. Anyone else, am I dreamin'?

 

I personally like the 86 better..but as Toe Cutter said... minor differences like the gauge cluster and paint.

 

I also got hooked on an 86 VFR, mine is RWB. I am impressed, my other ride is an ST 1100 plus a couple others in the stable. The VFR is a great machine. Quick question, mine is all original at 23,xxx but without a center stand, did the 86 models all have a center stand? Thanks.

They did not come with it but was a Honda factory ad on.

 

centrestands for an '86 or '87 are rarer than honest congressmen.....and more useful
