Baby needs new shoes!

Looking to replace the brake pads on my Gen 2 1986 VFR. Would appreciate some input from other owners. The local bike shop wants $27 for stocker EBC sintered organic shoes. OK, what else is there out there? And what did you buy? Your experiences will be appreciated.

Somewhere I have (I believe) those exact same I bought for my bike and did not get on before its death. If you decide to use those let me know, I'll give you a super price on them. In the mean time I will look for them so I know exactly what they are.
