    Hi,
I just picked up my first Honda motorcycle, I have been riding Harley's for the last 5 years, sportster and then a softail Deuce. I decided that it was time for a change and really liked the Honda VFR800 and the Triumph Sprint, well I decided on the Honda, price was a big factor. I purchased a leftover 2008 ABS for 7277.50 OTD. It just seemed too good a deal to pass up. Everything was great until I hit the rain on the way home. After stopping to move my phone from my jeans pocket to inside my jacket(so it wouldn't get wet, it still did) I pulled out making a right up a hill on a cement road and did a donut and the bike fell scratching up the sides, broke off the right side mirror and 1/2 the break leaver. I didn't get hurt, thankfully, but the bike did. It still runs great fortunately it was a slow speed spill I took. I wasn't trying to pull out fast in front of someone it was just an unfortunate episode that happened. I am looking forward to riding many miles today and love the bike so far, I put 130 miles on it yesterday.

Replaced my clutch lever when I dropped it before my first ride. I feel your pain only regret is wish I would have went with black repacements instead of OEM.
    Welcome enjoy the ride.

Welcome, sorry to hear your bike got scratched on the first day of ownership. Don't worry, you'll get it fixed up like new again and will start enjoying the rewards of being a VFR owner.
