I say Vegas also, but only between October and March also. If some one played Honda public relations correct for such a event we could arrange shipping our bikes at a good rate to and from. Ducati does it all ready for the USA/Canada owners for around $200-$300 from their local dealer to Vegas and back.

Great idea. East and West sound about right. The East coast is littered with good riding. Anywhere would be good.

Count me in! Here in NC we have plenty of good riding, but the Appalachians aren't just here, they stretch a long way and plenty of places to meet. Although, I'm willing to ride farther if I need to. Yay Viffers!

I like the idea of Missouri since I am from there and have family, but it's a 2000 mi ride from here for me... I can do it in 2 in a car, but have never done that kind of saddle time. For me to do that, I'd have to have 2 weeks off so I could visit the fam and recover... It would be doable, but the east coast/west coast might work better...

Vegas is do-able for me as well. Between October and March I'd have to fly in. It's winter up here from October until late April....so I'm not on the road until May. Possibly I could rent a ride while I'm there? I can look into it.

I'm in Vegas and it has been a particularly cool summer. Meaning most days it's only 100-105 degrees. Beats the heck out of last summer when most days were 110-120.

There are plenty of tracks here. I'm not sure about twisties though. I've been here for a year and haven't found anything good, but I havent' had a chance to search much either.

Vegas also has cool car shows and other conventions that you'd want to see if you came here. Autorocks and stuff is fun, so if the meet was at the same time there'd be more to do.

I'm down to travel though, but my next trip is the LV, LA, SB, SF, LV thing, then after that probably La Paz in Baja.

Getting HRC involved is a good idea. Maybe they'd get us a track day or something.

Holler when you guys get here! Every Thursday night at Hooters on Sahara is Bike Night.

I was going to the Reno one that was June 4th but due to work and weather it didn't happen and now this time around I'm outa state with the family vacation thing and won't be back till the 21. Still would be intersted to find out how far one would come I now Reg is up for it, right Reg?

500 miles is very doable and I don't need much notice for it. Are we talking bout Reno or Ore? I can prob make either depending on time off. Lemm know. I only get my schedule one month in advance, though, if that far. If I have a date in advance, I can request it.

Lake Tahoe, California...same time as the wooden boat show! Beautiful windy roads, beautiful lake, gambling, boating, etc. Nice ride over the mountains to visit Virginia City (old western town). Great motels and camp sites available.

Actually, there are a couple of very informal VFR events in place now.

COTU (Center of the Universe) draws 40 - 70 VFR (and ex VFR) riders to Marietta OH each spring, usually the first or second weekend in May. The locale is prime riding country in S-E Ohio and Northern WV. Ride routes are available so you can experience the best riding without getting lost or wasting time on the boring roads.

WDGAH (We Don't Give a Hoot) draws 50 - 70 VFR (and ex VFR ) riders to Lebanon NH each summer, the weekend after labor day (when the tourists have left) to burn the twisties in the NY Adirondacks, Vermont's Green Mountains, NH White Mountains and Western Maine. Ride routes are available as in COTU. This event is in it's 10th year,

Neither event is formal (no sponsors, no affiliation with any national m/c group) with just a few dedicated individuals who arrange for lodging, Saturday evening dinner, publicity on the various vfr forums/mail lists and ride routes for your entertainment. Riders from as far away as Texas, Colorado and the Canadian Maritimes have enjoyed themselves.

My vote would be anywhere in California, the riding season is longer and they have some of the best twistys anywhere in the world. But Tahoe is awesome too. I really want to get the Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona riders together next year for at least a couple of days, Usually easier said than done, but with good organization, it can be done...

Lots of great roads around the Sierras. A trip to Tahoe could even mean a ride through Yosemite, which I did last week. Was amazing!
