Hey guys i was out on a ride and around the corner from my house theres a ranch and i saw a scrap pile with what looked to be a motorcyle with red white and blue on the tail section... i pulled over and took a look at it... its pretty well a parts bike... gas tank was there most all the plastics where missing except the tail fairing..engine and exhuast were there.. rims tires front fender... headlight is square.. not sure on the year could go back and look at tomorrow and take pics.. im pretty sure it a 700 because ou the jug it says 698cc... the engine looks pretty complete... stator cover is fined and says honda... says hydrilic clutch on the slave cylinder... i guess it fixable if you wanted to put alot of time... talked to the owner hes a old timer in his eighty said hes going to take it to the scrap and make him a offer im sure he talking like 20 bucks...or some whiskey... i dont want the bike.. but if anyone here wants it to look at it and lives near reno nv shoot me a email.. it was getting dark ill post some pics tommorrow

Why not a VFR? Did the 86 VFR700 not say hydraulic clutch on the cover or something like that? Nothing in the post that would lead me to believe its not a vfr.

ONLY VFs stated "hydraulic clutch" on cover.

square headlight is another clue as VFR's is a long rectangle

I'd love to come and get it too but it's still a VF. No VFRs in '84.

I'd be curious to know how the inside of the tank looks.

I would surmise, there is ~ $400 worth of parts on that bike... if the engine is workable, then $700
